Convention Swaps – Mosaic Madness
As promised, still posting! 2 in the whole year so far is better than none, right?
I attended Stampin Up’s 25th Anniversary Convention just a few weeks ago. It was insanely large – about 6,000 demonstrators. Needless to say there were long lines but SO much creativity and inspiration. One of the things I was super excited about was all the swapping that would be going on. So my girls and I made 100 cards to swap out. Here’s one, based off a card my upline had in one of our club meetings, with a few personal tweaks. Made it in 4 different colors (love the monochromatic look) and they were a huge hit – and fairly easy/quick to make!
Colors – Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
DSP- Quatrefancy Specialty
Stamp Sets - It’s a Wrap Occasions, Alhambra Wheel
Punches - Mosaic Punch, Petite Curly Label
Embossing Folders - Modern Mosaic
Tips: You don’t need to really get all the cartridges for the wheel – I just ink it up on the ink pad itself. But I do recommend the retired Stampin Around Wheel Guide or something similar to get the lines perfect. Also, be careful where you do the embossing because you want to make sure you end up with a mosaic design so you can punch it out right where you want it. So align it carefully when you run it through. If you have questions about measurements, just ask!
