Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

We are heading to San Diego this weekend (whooo for couples vacations! and WHOOO for Cali!).

I need recommendations, people.

So far we are planning on:

Going to the zoo

Staying in the Gaslamp district

At the Manchester Grand

Going to the Busker Fest  at Seaport Village

Driving to La Jolla and/or Pacific Beach

Maybe some breweries and the U.S. Midway for the men

and of course going to H&M!!

Am we missing anything???

In other news I am currently obsessed with

and

Can’t you just imagine the body under there?

Oh wait you don’t have to!

< all pictures from google searches >

P.S. How cute is this idea? Getting married on the set of Our Town! Austin is so cool.

Go vote for Alicia and Marshall – they are friends of the BFF and that makes them friends in my book. Plus they be ADORABLE.

P.P.S. Body massage machine GO!

spring bingeing

We attempted to spring clean our apartment quite a few times this weekend and got sidetracked by

A gorgeous antique card catalog!

I have been wanting one for awhile now and Bear kept on the hunt till he found me one in a nearby town. It was a bit beaten up but still solid. Took a little elbow grease but now it holds so much stuff and looks great!

A spontaneous dinner invitation

I had never tried Vietnamese sandwiches before friends of ours called with a craving. We quickly abandoned our efforts.

< I am now a fan of Vietnamese sandwiches >

Then of course we had to get dessert

< It’s made with shaved ice, condensed milk and fruit. Strange but yummy! >

Beautiful weather, which absolutely called for some ice cream and shopping instead of cleaning indoors.

< We found a cute little bead shop in Rice Village and went nuts >

< More books. We are really running out of space. >

And for dinner we had crawfish but we were too eager to get there to remember the camera!

Brunch and strawberry-orange mimosas on Sunday morning.

Remember the cropped skinnies I was going to get? Got them and LOVE them.

< Nine West shoes I re-found in my closet, top was $5 at a consignment boutique, and AG jeans >

< found these fun earrings for 50 cents at a garage sale! >

And cupcakes with Stacy of Stacy Says!

In the midst of the gluttony we managed to get our spring cleaning done and the place looks fab now! Let’s see how long it lasts…

Thanks to all that entered the giveaway for the Bolt Laster toy!

I loved, loved, LOVED hearing all the stories about your furbabies (nfmgirl, my Bond plays fetch with my hair ties a million times a day too!).

Here are couple cute things our furbabies do:

< On top of playing fetch, Bond loves to be carried around like a baby and

will wrap his arms around our necks and “kiss” (aka, lick) our ears >

< Shere Khan falls asleep with her tongue out…a lot >

< Close up of the tiger muzzle! >

Ok ok, on to the winner….

The winner is Sarah who said her furbaby Jewel likes whipped cream for breakfast! Congrats! Please email me your address.

Thanks to all who entered and thanks so much to FroliCat for sponsoring.

Hope you all continue to read along.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

I don’t get it.

Unfortunately this is not an April Fool’s joke. It’s a real trend. Extra-wide contact lenses and all.
