Zuzu’s

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Tomorrow marks the two-year anniversary of Bear and I’s first date. We went to ZuZu’z Handmade Mexican in St. Louis (because that’s where our travels allowed us to meet up). But we celebrated a little earlier this week because tomorrow is also Papa Bear’s 60th Birthday and we are throwing him a big surprise party, complete with a new Wii.

Bear surprised me by finding the exact same restaurant in Austin (we didn’t know there were any others and improvised with Mission Burrito last year)! How sweet is he?

Another pleasant surprise – I found the most perfect white tee at H&M while I was in D.C.

Shirt was only about $8 at H&M, shorts, shoes and necklace I can’t remember but I think the shorts are Old Navy. Help me decide – yay or nay on the red lipstick? Bear hates it.

Of course all good dates involve dessert. We finished off the night with cupcakes and ice cream from Lick it, Bite it or Both!

Have a memorable weekend!

Lately I haven’t been wearing much jewelry with my outfits….and I think that might be out of boredom. I’m just tired of the stuff I have and ever since I did my post on the Two-Finger rings I have been craving this one from FashionableRx over at Etsy:

(it’s a poem)

If you follow me on Twitter you know that Friday afternoon Bear and I spent time on a jigsaw puzzle….and then went out to Bingo with friends that night. I dressed up for Bingo in an effort to feel less like I was 87. Don’t worry, we all had drinks after to remind us we’re still in our 20′s.

< Supersoft dress from F21, $10; Bag from H&M, under $10. It’s this fun foldover purse that I fell in love with. >

<These shoes are surprisingly comfy. They were about $10 from the Nine West outlet. And I’m totally digging this summery orange/pink OPI shade I found at my cousin’s – ‘My Chihuahua Bites‘ >

meet my clients

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Here are a few of my clients: some are old, some are feisty, some are super sweet and some a bit crazy but so far they have taught me a whole lot. Most importantly that I’m right where I want to be.

(Their tongues are all out because Auntie Sandhya likes to make them run around – I’ve lost and kept off 7 pounds!)

Smell ya later!
