When we were first dating, Bear started leaving me little love notes everywhere for me to find while he traveled. We are both consultants and have rarely spent weekdays together. This is our small way of being with each other during the week.
Just when I was thinking we hadn’t left each other notes in awhile and was planning my comeback, I found these hidden throughout my luggage this week!:
Sigh.
A lady walked up to me at Rooms to Go recently, stopping her cellphone conversation, and asked me how I tied my scarf. I told her to stand up and showed her and she was thrilled but it was just the typical loop and pull through (love katie holmes’ sleek style, btw):
This winter, I’ve been mostly wearing my scarf as above and some of the other more common, simple ways…but then last night I ran across this new way to tie a scarf!!
Don’t know how to embed videos in here so a link will have to do.
I tried it and the scarf I brought on my current business trip is too short but seems like a great new style and definitely a bit warmer. Which I could use out here in too-cold-for-my-taste New York.
Anyone else ever sniff the Crayon box when they were younger? No? Just me?
Love it!

I got a super fun and useful present from my friend Mar for Christmas: a personal whiteboard from CocoaLiving.com:
It’s a great way to start the year off right and go green! I use so many post-it notes and scratch paper all day at work…but now, I just write lists and things down with the accompanying pen and wipe off and re-use when I’m done. The pen has a great little eraser right on the end. It came with a CD that lets you print a ton of other templates. So far I’ve kept mine blank but they have templates for calendars and lists and even games and stuff for kids. Love it and love doing my part for Mother Earth.
