Hopefully I’ll have some of the shoes and other accessories I have up soon so check back!
As Bear and I plan our wedding, with all the other costs we’ve had this year and our decision to donate $10k to charities in our first year of marriage, we are very careful about all of our expenses. We want the wedding to be unique and memorable but not be embarrassingly expensive or gaudy. We have been thinking about our stationary and wanted to keep the thank-you cards simple and economical while still personalized and of course – not looking cheap. Enter UPrinting.

Hi! Been uber busy with moving into our house (eek! OUR house!) and getting everything set up. I’m eager to have everything decorated and furnished so we can have a housewarming but I’m also trying to slow myself down with only necessities now so there’s still more to do later…and to enjoy the process. Thanks for all the great feedback on the before and afters…I’ll post more soon. Once there are no more moving boxes in the house.
But we’ve also been chugging away at the wedding planning and the big thing this month was getting out the Save the Date postcards. We used our pictures from the Engagement Shoot and put a fun twist on it. Love the way they came out…and Bear did a fabulous job on the website as well.
What do y’all think?
AIEEE! Our Austin Street Style blog was nominated for an Austin Blogger Award! We are beyond excited…especially since we are up against some crazy tough competition and veterans who have been around much longer than we have.
We’d love your vote here at the Austin Blogger Awards website. While you’re there check out some of the other awesome bloggers that Austin is so full of!
Here are few things I’ve starred recently in my Google Reader:
An amazing makeover on Design Sponge (I could seriously stare at these all day!)
Who doesn’t need a nest?
I have a million paint chips (I secretly steal another million everytime I’m around them). Dainty Squid had a great post on projects with paint chips.
How cute is this bridal party? Love the umbrellas!
Colored pencil shelf. Need I say more?
We are really trying to get some of our makeover/remodeling projects done – we’ve got everything, just finding the time has been absurd. Will try to get up pictures soon!
We came up with a name! The idea being we’re taking the dog from being puppy (or just disobedient) to a healthy, happy and well-behaved member of your pack. Bear came up with the idea last night during a strategy meeting and it really clicked for us. I want training to be the focus of what I do, even though I’ll also be doing cat and dogsitting, and dog walking.
Would love to hear your thoughts. If it’s not well-received it’s not too late to change.
Will let you all know when the website launches. Working with an awesome graphic designer now!
